A pianist, vocal coach and recitalist of extraordinary versatility, Argentine born Andrea Katz is equally at home with Chamber Music, German Lieder and Grand Opera.

Appointed Tutor in Music -Repetiteur at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music in 2019.

In addition to a busy performing and coaching schedule, Andrea Katz is the Director of Vocal Ensemble at University of Melbourne since 2007. The class regularly performs at Melba Hall, in concerts with the Melbourne Conservatorium Orchestra and at the Iwaki Auditorium.  

Since 2014 she is a member of the Vocal Department at The Sir Zelman Cowen School of Music (Monash University) where she lectures in Spanish and Italian Song.

In 2014 she was also invited to give an Opera and Recitative seminar for Victorian Opera Young Voices program. 

Internationally, she is regularly invited to Piano and Chamber Music master classes at the School of Music on the National University of San Juan, Argentina.

As Director of Songmakers Australia she has given Lieder and Art Song Master classes in conjunction with the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music.

In July 2015 she presented a series a pre-concert lectures on Schubert's song cycles Die Schöne Müllerin, Winterreise and Schwanengesang at the Melbourne Recital Centre preceded by a Schubert Study Day at Mt Macedon
